How to Listen to Your Heart
There was a time in my life when I felt completely disconnected from myself.
Living with alopecia and autoimmune challenges, I spent years searching for answers. I visited practitioners, explored different approaches to healing, and hoped someone would tell me what my body needed. After hearing more than once that there wasn’t a cure, I began to wonder if healing was even possible.
Then something unexpected happened.
Through years of meditation, energy work, and deep self-exploration, I began to notice that my body was always communicating with me. Beneath the fear, frustration, and uncertainty, there was a quieter voice—a wisdom that had been with me all along.
My heart already knew.
Learning to listen didn’t happen overnight. It became a practice of slowing down, becoming present, and trusting the subtle ways my body and heart spoke to me. The more I listened, the more I realized that healing wasn’t about finding someone to rescue me.
It was about remembering the wisdom that had always lived within me.
As my journey continued, I found myself drawn to teachers, traditions, and healing practices from many different parts of the world. Although each one offered its own unique perspective, I noticed something beautiful.
Again and again, they pointed me back to the same place.
Not outside of myself.
But inward.
To the heart.
Over time, I stopped asking, “What should I do?”
Instead, I began asking,
“Heart, where are you inviting me today?”
Sometimes the answer led me into nature.
Sometimes it invited me to rest.
Sometimes it asked me to have a difficult conversation.
Sometimes it brought me to a teacher I never could have planned to meet.
Looking back, I don’t believe my heart gave me my entire path all at once.
It simply offered the next step.
One gentle invitation after another.
When I learned to trust those small invitations, something remarkable began to happen. My life slowly became less about forcing and more about following. I noticed moments of perfect timing, meaningful encounters, and unexpected opportunities that reminded me I wasn’t walking alone.
Whether you call those moments intuition, synchronicity, grace, or simply paying closer attention, they invited me into a life that felt more aligned with who I truly am.
Today, this is the foundation of every session I offer.
I don’t begin by deciding which healing modality someone needs.
We begin by listening.
Together, we create space for your heart to communicate what is ready to be acknowledged, released, strengthened, or remembered. From there, the session unfolds naturally, honoring what is uniquely yours.
Because I believe something with all my heart.
Your heart already knows the way.
Sometimes we simply need someone to help us remember how to hear it.
A Moment for Your Heart
Before you continue with your day, I invite you to pause for just one minute.
Place a hand over your heart.
Take a slow breath.
Then gently ask yourself,
Heart, where are you inviting me today?
Don’t rush to find an answer.
Simply notice.
Maybe it’s a feeling.
Maybe it’s a person you’ve been thinking about.
Maybe it’s stepping outside into nature.
Maybe it’s creating something.
Maybe it’s having the courage to rest.
Or maybe your heart is simply inviting you to take one small step toward the sweetest nectar life has to offer today.
You don’t have to see the whole path.
You only have to trust the next invitation.
